This was a very painful and disturbing chapter to read. I feel so sorry for Maria for having such a piece of shit mother who can only think for herself. I don't even know, if you can call that thing a mother. Not surprised that Maria went batshit crazy, any child would break from that.

Uhm,no, that response of murdering your parents with joy is not normal, even though they are s**t parents. Maria is not mentally heathly, part of it is due to her mother, the other is due to that b*tch Beatrice.
