It's implied she borked her ankle (she's seen holding it while saying "ow ow ow"). I mean, her character seems like the sort that would either walk through the pain or just hop or something, but that wouldn't be dramatic and/or plot progressing.
Also holy crap how bad is Mayumi at her job!? That's a lot of papers to forget, hah.

@karolyn Touko has been gaslighting Mayumi since forever. The flashback showed you that the image of herself Mayumi has was something cultivated by Touko. Hell, there is also the implication that Touko was Mayumi's first crush. Breaking from that kind of shit is hard and, sadly, impossible sometimes.
