Great chapter to end this batch on! Mogami was implying that Hachina had other things in mind for Gakuto beyond just straight up winning the game. I think this could tie into what Kidou was talking about before in chapter 285 with them coming to the ship in the first place.

That aside, I don't think Hachina would leave Gakuto behind on the ship unless his plans involved killing Gakuto off in the first place... which would be quite a turn I suppose.

You guys are harsh i for once want to see how Oofuna will get out of the sailing ship that is now on fire while surrounded by a hostile and panicking crew, which will kill him for knocking down their captain after he lost the game.

I wonder what was the deal with Chisato giving her phone to Kaiji? we all know that entire team has a crush on Mogami and Kaji doesn't even comes close to her. Could she be a double agent working for someone else?

I'm reminded of when Hachina took Gakuto's ID without him knowing before this whole thing started. Still don't understand what it may lead to. The only thing I can think of is that he wanted to use steal and take-over Gakuto's identity for something, but it seems weird as they don't look similar enough.

Yeah, I like that too. Definitely one of my favorite parts about this manga is how well the author ties and re-uses small details like that.

Fantastic gamble and arc. Considering Mogami thinks Leader was "testing" Oofuna, I hope Hachina is trying to groom Oofuna into a stud gambler the same way Baku has groomed Kaji.

I think Oofuna definitely already safe and off the ship. I would bet that Hachina saying Mogami "saved him a lot of trouble" is referring to them taking Oofuna out of the bridge and into a cabin, where Hachina can just safely move him without worrying about the ships crew.
