Usogui - Vol. 48 Ch. 522 - Conviction

Can somebody spoil me how longer is this going to last? Want to read this arc when is complete so i cam understand the hell is going on.

If anyone needed any more confirmation that there is a time discrepancy between the speaking clock and the clock on the wall (presumably the "actual time"): the clock on the wall on page 12 shows the pointer already on the 10 second mark, while the speaking clock says "it is going to be 8:57:10 AM" afterward. The reason I believe Souichi (or more like Hal, in this case) is so sure that Baku won't turn around might be because Baku has to buy time for another three minutes (something which Souichi could've figured out beforehand, which Hal is feeling now despite his memory loss, like he has before) for his plan. Hal getting a taste of real gambling for the first time is gold.

I really don't like that leader lost memories again, it's like in infinity war part 2 where they're not even fighting the same thanos

@Elefantropo

The gamble will kindaend at 524 so you will kinda know the winner at the end of this batch, but the explanation and the ending of the match will end at 526-530

@marcyvq This is why I love this manga.

Baku picked the time and lalo picked the people of the Ban. In other words, baku picked when the game would end, and when surpassing the leader would begin.

Baku also asked the leader if he had a clock at the start of the game. This was to first check how close the leader was to losing his memory, and try to make sure the leader doesn't know how close he is.

@Gustav
It's not perfect leader anymore.. now it's just Hal.

@ReadUsoguiPlease
I also thought of that, but that would one the biggest pullshit the author has done. i mean, Assuming Baku got the information that Leader lose his memory every one month, it's pretty insane ( not to say retarded ) to even be able to get the EXACT hour it happens. the whole month memory loss was just an approximation to begin with... nothing more.

I feel like he had always been aiming to get his friend back, or at least have the person finishing him off be Hal instead of Leader
