Villains Are Destined to Die - Vol. 1 Ch. 39

They definitely don't care enough to notice she didn't eat anything. She should have just feigned illness as an excuse

How is that so darn many of these recycle this "hunting competition" concept...?

oh yes, the hunting competition arc was so much fun to read in the novel but it will happen in season 2.

Yyyeeeeeaaass I love whenever the hunting competition arc pops up in these stories

Good Emily. She's just earned the most trust in this whole damn game and she tried to feed Penelope rotten food.

Umm... The scene of the 3 of them sitting looking at her waiting.. IS FREAKING OVERWHELMING

@KaelRhain:

Hunting was a common leisure sport for the nobility, yes.

However, a specific plotline based around a (usually annual or less frequent) grand hunting competition, with a lot of honour placed on winning and often more political intrigue than seems likely for a leisure sport or competition (even amongst the nobility), generally with girls giving charms to the men they favour and/or the winning man gracing one favoured woman of his choice a the end—it's recycling that plot device, not the general omnipresence of competitive hunting per se, that what I was being arch about.

I'm not even particularly upset about it or anything, just felt when I was writing it that it was at risk of becoming the sort of fantasy-shoujo-manwha equivalent of, say, the inescapable onsen or beach episodes in more traditional romcom manga, except perhaps even further divorced from reality.

@Pokari by this point isekais are full of inescapable tropes, so i get you, is kinda annoying and detracts that authors cant think out of the box, even more when they portrait a fantasy world, and then add all the japanese culture on it or copy all other mangas of the same genere, its like wth

YEHET FOR THE HUNTING COMPETITION! SO EXCITED FOR THE PRINCE ROUTE HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA 🥰🥰🥰🥰
