Vinland Saga - Vol. 22 Ch. 159 - Baltic Sea War, Part 35

I was wondering if he was going to use the jomsviking to go to Vinland but guess not.

like i understand the he's trying to champion non-violence but that resolution to the conflict is pure BS, would not work in the modern age and definitely not with the vikings

Well, having Thornfell with King's Canute orders at his side helped. But no doubt is gonna create some issue mid/long term

that felt a little rushed for vinland saga standard but I guess this arc was already too long. i'm happy we're finally moving on

FINALLY we are finished with this arc, it's not like it was that long if you binge reading it, but when it's monthly and even some times chapter comes out only after two months it gets quite annoying

Lol, it took a freakin' hit to the face with a stick to wake up Thorkell. Why am I not surprised? X)

@Bearil
Yea, that did help, regardless if it is really real. After all, who is going to double check? Thorfinn? Heh~ Thorkell? Good luck asking him. King Knut himself? Heck, he just got a chunk of the Jomsvikings, I don't see him complaining.

I'm glad this Ark is over but it just reminds me how much I miss the old Thorfinn who was fine with killing and out for revenge. That Thorfinn might have been slightly cruel and super violent but he also had a purpose and drive. The new Thorfinn comes off as meek and super passive now... sigh oh well let's see where the next Ark takes us!

Reminds me of how ISIL was created. The Shi'a Iraqi governments just up and shitcanned the Sunni military without pensions or anything. You can't just take thousands of professional and armed soldiers and say they're no longer welcome and can starve for all you care. It's not like they have sidejobs to return to, fighting is all they know.

Thorfinn had made it very clear that he has no intention of being the Jomsviking chieftain. Despite that, the Jomsviking essentially forced him into that position.
It's their own fault they're getting disbanded now. At least Thorfinn is offering them the option to join the king's army instead, which is better than nothing.
