Hoo Boy, Tomoko and Yuri have some issues.

What a chapter. It was not easy for me to totally get, but it turned out being a good look at how much loners could or should take part in the ecology of a group. Yuri’s bringing down the group, or so Tomoko thinks, and Tomoko is trying hard to meet its standards, so there is strain between Tomoko and Yuri.

And my God, Fuuka is HOT

Why do you think that? Even with the missing half-chapter last time, we see in this chapter that she actually went to cheer Tomoko. That story is rolling along.

Tomoki thinking Yuri is being weird at this point is kinda odd, considering all she's been through. It's like that overly-judgemental part of her is coming back in reverse. Might be a hint of that escalating and someone like yuri calling her out on it?

Tomoko's comment on Emoji II on page 7 is a reference to End of Goldfish Kingdom. It's also more obvious untranslated.

This character here looks like Futaki, wants a pet shrimp, and makes the weird UwoOAw noise Tomoko references in the panel above. A lot.

It's a really great, really weird Japanese webcomic with a decent reputation in Japan that almost nobody has heard of in the West. Translators probably hadn't heard of it, though I don't know why they dropped the "weird noise" reference (the ウォウー)

Everyone can feel things coming to an end, and Tomoko at least is feeling the tidal pull of her old insecurities and behaviors, which is why she is projecting them on others. No matter what happens, this group of friends will come apart, even if they continue to communicate.

Just the entrance exam results alone will determine that particular part of the future. God, I hope Tomoko makes it into Ioyama so she could be with Asuka and Megumi.
