Really? I never see what Asuka is doing as teasing. She always strikes me as frighteningly sincere.

Her "motherly" behavior is nurturing, but it's also something we now know for sure she does for no one else.

With Uchi and Asuka, I think what we're seeing is a writer doing a subtle and sensitive job depicting what actually happens when "yuri" surfaces.

Now what Tomoko thinks, there's no way of telling. What is sure is that she tends to be way more interested in real-life women than real-life men.

As the parent of an autistic child and having been around autistic people for years, I can say no, Asuka is definitely not autistic.

Strange, yes, but not autistic. Autistic people have serious trouble dealing with others in a social setting. They get amped out over excessive sensory input and they seek out safety.

Asuka isn't that way, she's just sweet and strange.
