What deaths or events in fiction gave you minor PTSD? (spoilers)

i was bored and kinda want to read romance but has master/slave/servant relationship but i stumbled on historical manga abt slavery.
i forgot the name but it was about girls in orphanage, they sold the girls to prison as sex slave for the prisoners. i managed to finish it but it was an awful experience. it was a very good manga but honestly not my cup of tea, i can still vaguely imagine the graphic and sexual violence depicted in that manga.

Actually almost all my favorite characters in books and manga get killed off... Sigh. Even Sherlock Holmes, although the fangirls bullied Doyle into retconning him back. Sigh why is fiction suffering.
