@Wow_ie Accept what he gave her? You mean advice? It's not like he whipped that thing out of thin air and handed it to her, it was in a store she was already browsing. If he did do something to it, he did it while she was watching so he hid it quite well. Whatever the duke may or may not have told her she's also just a normal ~14 or so year old kid. If you'd said "I hate her because she's a kid, and kids are dumbasses" I'd honestly agree. Kids are stupid and I don't like them either. But "she should be smarter," well no, she shouldn't because she is a kid, and they are in fact generally quite stupid.

@Glomoro even a 5 year old knows not to talk to strangers, she listens to everything that white haired uncle tells her to do but then she goes on to reveal her deepest secrets to some strangers on the street kids are dumb true but she is EXTRA dumb and naive and delusional might I add. I feel sad for her coz she keeps getting used by EVERYONE around her and she doesnt even realize it. She being used by the uncle her zombie father and even claude is using her! Which makes me want to kill all these adults but I also want to shout at jen that she should WAKE THE F*CK up from her delusions all these bitches around you are using you honey, she mistakes their exploitation of her as kindness and friendliness so I do feel sad for her I really hope her character grows and realizes she was being used by grown adult men.

@Wow_ie If most 5 year olds actually "know" pretty much anything about anything even remotely important, I'll eat my own foot. One well placed lie would convince them you're not a stranger more often than not. They just don't ordinarily have any life experiences yet to truly have learned not to take things at face value. That's exactly where she is at this point, too. She's lived in an extremely controlled environment, she isn't going to realize anything all on her own until it's way too late. They made sure of it, on purpose. That's the point of them using her at all, she has to be useful.
