Why is there so much yuri/shojo ai here ?

There is an overwhelming proportion of yuri/shoujo ai on mangadex... Why ?
Is this because it focus on hosting non published fantranslated works (and fantranslator are obsessed with yuri while american editors avoid it like plague) ?

If i remember correctly, there's already a site catering exclusively to that fetish "taste", so. Not that i have any issue with it being here, but if you wanna be snappy, put some thought into it.

That's too bad, I was hoping more variety from a website that is supposed to be batoto successor, bringing a better alternative to those money grubbing aggregators that don't have a shred of respect for the translating teams.

The variety you see is the same variety you would have found on Batoto. We don't dictate what scan groups decide to work on, all the scan groups from before are working on the same thing they've been working on now. The only difference is that we're willing to host all the yaoi and yuri that Batoto wasn't willing to host.

What? I was making a throwaway joke, not a political statement. You might as well made this bizarre diversity comment in response to me explaining why mangadex allows hentai.

It's pretty hilarious that you imply a lack of variety compared to batoto when MD basically has everything batoto had but with less restrictions.
