Well that was a warning sign if you ever saw one. Its fairly minor but with her knowledge she should really be more sensitive to this kind of behavior.

Grabbing her arm is an assertion of dominance after all and shouldn't be accepted like that. He also talked about her liking someone else when she never said that, meaning he thinks she must "belong" to someone else. Her heart in that case.

Ummm excuse me? The webnovel of this exact moment that is a practical copy said: "My fiancé is a yandere. But he's someone who is difficult to hate." Why did it become he's not a yandere? And how come the manga artist didn't draw Wolf with all dark-esque tone and expression? It became so bland. This was supposed to be the revealing moment that Wolf, in fact, is a yandere! Oh I'm so mad!

@amiradiana Agreed. Imo the dark yandere tone would've come out better if Wolf's face had more shading on his expression in that panel or if his eyes weren't as shiny (bright eyes=innocent?). I just hope the future chapters will deliver on all those other yandere moments in the webnovel and not downplay them.

I've suspected that the reason why the novels I love never seem to get manga adaptations is because artists are scared that they can't do them justice. Now, I have evidence. I agree with the other comments here. The tone isn't completely wrong but the atmosphere around Wolf isn't what I'd expect coming from the novel.

@amiradiana The original Japanese webnovel also says "I'm hesitant to call my fiance a yandere. But, he is someone who is not to be made light of." So, the webnovel and manga say the same thing.

My opinion as a reader: It's made clear in the beginning that Wolf isn't anything like the game Wolf. So when I read the LN, I saw Wolf as an aggressive and possessive kid, but not a dark yandere.

They're ten years old (Chapter 2, page 21). The manga starts out with six-year old Lycoris, but she's ten by the time she goes to visit Wolf (Chapter 1, page 8).
