He didn't fuck the editor, she fell asleep before anything really happened and nothing was shown for how he got home or anything. He was still wearing the same clothes, so I'm going to go ahead and assume that because she fell asleep sortof on top of him, that he was stuck like that until morning because he didn't dare wake her up/move her (because that's usually the stereotype/trope).
