Yomawari Sensei - Vol. 1 Ch. 0 - The Swing

So he lashed out at the boy because he was going to a detox hospital for help and not to him? Is that what happened?

@MagiciansBlack ah yeah that's probably it, hinted from the dialogue that he naively assumed he can heal the kid's addiction without actual medical care. honestly I'm confused like why is he angry when the kid already about to straighten himself and i thought that the place might be a bad memory for him only for it to be proven false later

Mizutani sensei has a good heart but his actions rhat night destroyed that boy's hope. Great first chapter and nice to see a mc that is not all perfect.

Admittedly I don't quite understand what made him mad like that in the end.
But a shame that something simple caused things so wrong.

I don't get why he brushed off the kid too. He was already acting cold even before Masashi showed the hospital article.

Hey! I really surprise that the MC is in fact actually REAL (IRL).

But he is not popular. Not that much news about him.

We are off to an amazing start..... that's what i was about to say.
I dont understand why he lashed out at the kid. And the explanation we get afterwards doesnt really make sense. I really dont get it.

He effectively killed Masashi. He would have been better dying off drugs than beeing given hope and having it all taken away from him by the same person.
I hate using this word, but maybe he's a narcissistic pervert. Or it could be his own trauma, who knows. Guess we'll see.

It felt like there's a missing page or the chapter pages got random at that part since it wasn't completely understandable why he gave up on him.

There are two reasons he became cold. The first is that you can't show too much affection to deranged people. They will become addicted to your care and love and they won't be able to live a normal life. They will effectively turn into leeches, who just consume your love to fuel themselves. In such cases they need to be left to fight it on their own.
The second reason might just be Mizutani's arrogance at the time. He was saddened, thinking that despite his best efforts, he couldn't help the kid recover. Basically, "if you wanna use that method.. go ahead.. you don't need me anymore. Everything I did was useless at the end."
It might be both of these reasons combined, I can't tell exactly.
