the anime didn't really do the story justice
they completely missed out most of the character interactions and basically didn't involve any other characters into the story in a meaningful way. And the V1 are supposed to look that way, they are a reference to the actual V-1 missiles used by Nazi Germany, albeit one that carries people, and they look pretty much the same as in the anime.

Honestly, the author needs an ass whopping by how ridiculous the shape of male chins are. Shits unreasonable pointy as hell lookin like some American cartoon.
