The self-insert was really hard to digest here. A "loser" MC who has no real reason to be a loser, other than being easier to drag around by random characters.
This is gearing up to be a really poor story, in which you have a very explicit beta-MC, dragged around by random pretty girls, in which nothing changes since it's labeled as slice-of-life. Ya'll want passive MCs? I guess this is it.

Yeah, the dialogue the MC had at the start was nonsensical. He's a college student, he's not a soldier or from a country in turmoil.
And making him a lame MC type is just a waste in this kind of setting with no large conflict going on. Not being far more suspicious of his circumstances like the other two girls are, or even what's happening with the guy who is chosen as "hero". As the other commenter said, he's just being dragged around with little to say about it.

If there isn't some espionage stuff going on, then this is really poorly written.

Nothing amazing or groundbreaking yet, but I hope it turns into a good read. At this point I could see it going either way, but even if it ends up being a bit... mediocre, I'll probably keep on.
