I never understand why people think op stories are bad.
You are instead of watching and artifical 'can he' story you are watching a 'how will he'
you are watching the strong live their lives
you know this going in, why complain about a basic concept?

that said, smartphone has better chapter flow then this does, but this potentially has a stronger concept.

If you count time-travel (any direction) as isekai (which I do), then this and smartphone are the same. This story features a person with no detailed background with a hand-held informative plot device going on casual adventures and super powers.

In fact, Isekai with Analysis and Status are also the same. They just use a pop-up HUD instead.

To Mod: this is not a spoiler, it's a very generic synopsis.

@kenkagejack no one should count Time travel as isekai unless it is later shown that past is not the same as history tells and future is kinda up in the air, same for Reincarnation(Tensei) unless it is directly stated it is another world from the start i.e."MC was originally form earth dies due to truck-kun and is reborn in another world" then it gets Isekai tag if its "MC dies is reincarnated some time after in his original world which wasn't earth to begin with" then it counts as just Tensei a couple of stories do this its annoying

It seems this is not an Isekai, just a reincarnation story. The OP mentions how in his last life he specialised in fire magic and all. Maybe someone should change the tag.
