@Nums - Normally nothing, but it's not like he had any candlesticks or anything else either. So probably the intent was to imply that he was going to use it to S/M play (dripping hot wax on people).

(Note that you should use specialy candles for such things if you do. Drippings from normal storebought candles are hotter and can more easily give burns.)
