I presume Sonya is reference to Sonia Krichnoff, character that first appeared in Arsène Lupin play (novelized by Edgar Jepson, great read), and followed Lupin into thieving business. It was mentioned in the novel Hollow Needle that she met a horrible death.

Don't look at the forest, but the trees, look at individuals that were like you and me, just ordinary people that didn't hate anyone and just wanted an ordinary life, but got dragged into things they never could properly understand.
@Mogima
He's not, he clearly says he always imagined the AI as a beautiful girl. Because he is quite selfish as well, he never bothered to ask what the AI sees itself as, only when the AI was free from everyone that it managed to become a male.
I know it can seem frustrating, but I'm glad she is so stubborn. I mean, she wasn't caught doing something small like shoplifting, if she confesses several murders with very clear intent her future will look very dark, so it would be natural she is desperately grasping for straws.
@airuos
It's possible to lose traction if you move fast and step on something really small and roundish that can slide more easily on the floor. Had Vodka walked slowly he wouldn't really notice it, but because he started to run he involuntarily became a star of his own comedy skit.
Considering she lived with her granny and doesn't seem to have any other relation, Kiyo probably adopted her outlook on life from a more mature environment, keep chin up and keep going kind of stuff.
I can understand why he had to throw away rings, as long as they are around there will always be selfish people going so far to murder to get them. There will always be those that offer funding even without some special rings, with this research can go back to what it used to be before going all...

From what information I could find on wikipedia, it seems that pre-WW2 geisha had their own hair styled, while post-WW2 they started using wigs, since they couldn't anymore 100% rely on hairstylists to maintain their hair every week. I don't know any historians that can confirm or...
@SuperOniichan
It was explained earlier that geisha wear wigs, while maiko get their hair styled and it stays on until the specific day when they can let their hair down. It is a bit strange to see a sick maiko keep the hairstyle when she can't work, but I guess that's just how their schedule is.
@ADarkDrop
It seems my mind simply went over that information, because it's so odd. Usually all suspicious deaths have to have an autopsy done, even if it was locked room, to just cremate him without investigation is a serious matter.
There is a possibility that if there were any broken bones, they simply chalked it up to the body falling off the tree they presumed it was hanging from. Poorly done autopsies are a thing, especially if they are already biased towards the suicide conclusion.
Well, it was bound to happen that every now and then, among all those sob stories, someone kills for a petty reason, I'm more disappointed by how easy she went down. This chapter served for nothing else but to show BO again.
