Honestly I'm just just confused on what Henry was trying to do by riding past Berta. Like was he trying to say "I can help but I'm not gonna?" If he wanted to do that, he could have just hung pack and just watched her fall off her horse.
@Nixnaw Way I see it, he clearly loved Margritte and he's grown up with her since childhood. "When you look at someone through rose colored glass, all the red flags look like flags."
There was so much progression and development this chapter I kind of fear the story might have gotten the axe and is trying to quickly rush toward a conclusion.
My impression of this series so far is that the plot is badly written. The author clearly wanted to create a tragic love story for the main couple where do to social awkwardness or reclusiveness, they were unable to correctly convey their feelings for one another.
But the execution is horrible...
