This is actually a normal trope used by a lot of mangakas. Troubled or somehow dependent on MC girl later on "matures" and hopes into some marriage or relationship, "thanking" MC and all. But from what I see here, it's not a trope author will use. Also, thank you a lot for translating this...

It's a sad state of affairs when even imaginary character doesn't get any understanding and empathy, when reader has "god's view" and ability to see and know much more than people in real life. The implication being, that with very limited amount of information we can access in real life people...
