Shouldnt the bubble in the first page say "do your job, then die"? That's the meaning they went with in the official translation. I dont know japanese though it just makes more sense than what you have.

Page one is a pretty obvious translation error. Im guessing the word gohan was there and you just directly translated it as rice when it can either mean rice or a meal depending on context. (Dont speak japanese or know much at all but that is one thing i know)
