This is one of the most heartbreaking parts of the manga.
To think of those that didn't just give up, but worked so hard and still got knocked down by others. Enduring all the pain and keeping a brave face until they finally cracked.
There's something very touching about this scene. It shows what a big impact Arata had on Rena, to where she will feel concerned when something feels off in their friendship. Rena has never been one to not to tackle a challenge head on, but she has been known to run away from her emotions...

This concern was with reversing the memory erasing only focused on Arata and Chizuru because of the connection they have. Everybody else's memories of them are erased in order to keep the company on the downlow and to avoid suspicion when the younger...
