Honestly it's..normal that people give that false pity on you because of your family situation. Even though its worse that they judge you because they think you seek for attention from your contradictions, it's not much better they judge and treat you differently. It's quite disgusting but that's how society works.
But of course that's not how you're supposed to treat them. And why we have people who easily fall into depression because of these *ssholes.
