Yep. Kilograms are heavier than pounds. You might be getting confused with kilometers, which are smaller than their Imperial counterpart miles (roughly 8 km to 5 mi.) But one metric ton = 1000 kg = 2205 lbs, and 1 kg = 2.2 lbs.
a.) I'm glad this arc is over. -.-
b.) I'm guessing the point of the arc was probably to give Kazuya the "mana sense" and "mana manipulation" abilities...since it interacted with his energy flow to the tsukumogami, it'd make sense he can still make use of it outside of the amasogi's world.
So...people were so distracted by fanservice that they failed to realize that the manga itself espoused progressive ideals and was critical of current business practices, and, as responsible translators, the former translators gave the reader the context to understand what practices were being...
Not-the-translator's notes, but some stuff I looked up while reading the raws:
Bifrons: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bifrons_(demon)
Bael: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bael_(demon)
Dantalion: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dantalion
Morax: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morax_(demon)
Berith is...
First we had light novels.
Then we had mangas based off those novels.
Now we have light novels that serve as the titles for a manga.
When will this madness end?
So, with the revalations in this chapter, here's my thoughts.
Amasogi exist because desires get out of hand. The owner of the amasogi either hates what happens to the little sister figure in the story and tries to avert it, or has someone in their real life they can't save (or couldn't save)...
My take on the untranslated page:
"Destruction and reconstruction...don't you think these seeds scattered among you might once again sprout? CHAPTER OF RUIN."
FWIW
My take on the untranslated page:
"When something is written in pencil, even if you use an eraser on it, traces are left behind. I feel that it is likewise impossible to completely eliminate all traces of life and lifestyle. CHAPTER OF ERASURE."
FWIW.
What I probably should have been thinking: Some Kumika fanservice? Niiiiiice....
What I was actually thinking: Huh? I though she didn't have hot water in her apartm...oooh.
Glad to hear we still have more Kumikaku on the way!
