@Nora_1_2_3 Usually you'd name them something that either gives off an atmosphere that you want/expect them to behave like, or something that means something to you. I was named after my dad's best friend after he immigrated to Canada,for instance.

I wonder how many pets/slaves in fantasy manga have been named really shallow stupid names like Shiro, Haku, Kuro, etc. that have no meaning past their outward appearance.
