@Raudhbjorn Not every ruler was a despot who killed anyone they didn't like, especially for simply voicing a complaint (one that would normally be quite valid). Rulers like that usually didn't last very long.

@xtheconman Probably has to do with Japanese honorifics. There's a lot more than just 'chan' or 'san', with multiple levels of respect. The author probably had her use honorifics that are more respectful than most, which actually makes sense for those of a noble status.

@silverforest It has been 9 years... That's plenty of time to change at least a bit. Especially since there was a literal demon at his side for that whole time, her callous attitude towards humans probably rubbed off on him a little. ...plus, he did say he killed the guy on accident.

Someone was asking why there was an ecchi tag last chapter. I did not expect to find out why so quickly.

The title: Sounds exactly like what I'd do in that situation. The first 4 chapters: Standard isekai and minor political stuff, with barely a hint of magic or studying. The story is a bit all over the place at the beginning, too. At least the art is nice.

She keeps calling herself "squishy." Sure, it's cute, but it's also a bit odd for a self-description.

@assman162 It's because publishers are far more interested in adapted works instead of something new, since the name recognition makes it easier to sell. So, they force the artists working for them to adapt whatever novels they can get the rights for cheaply. And the rights being cheap usually...

On page 7 and 8, she could have just pointed out the the only thing she wants is to find a way home and see her parents. Since this directly contradicts what they just said about how Gaia's children should act (not being involved with "peasants" and replacing their family name with 'mene gaia')...

I think she's emphasizing using measurements in general to keep things uniform. She did say to "use flour to regulate the softness", so she's probably not ignoring the fact that adjustments will often be needed.

He said 2 years since he came of age, so he should be 18. Unless she's referring to drinking age, he's not a minor. Edit: Actually, she probably was. Drinking age in Japan is 20, and she initially thought they were the same age. I just checked ch 1 again, and she is 22, so all the math works out.
