@Tersione I think it depends on how the story is told. One interpretation of fate is that it's predestined and nothing we do can change that, but another interpretation could be that we write our own fates, and our actions and choices just lead us there.

Great, another author uses attempted rape as a throwaway plot device for some cheap drama. I don't know how this trope caught on, but I'm seeing it more and more in almost every genre I read and it's pretty disappointing, to say the least.

@SuperOniichan I wasn't a teacher in a school, but I tutored middle and high school kids while studying at university. I taught math, English, science (physics and chemistry), as well as SAT prep. I have a lot of respect for actual teachers though, and I really enjoyed my stint as a pedagog...

As someone who's tutored kids before, not adding a point to a result that's one point away is criminal. I would pretty much always round up if my students were that close.
