@Clone_Nero people were less afraid of ntr and more of "the dude omitting a crime with witnesses and there having no repercussions at all " which luckily didn't happen (author probably realized it was going in a weird direction) but it was very probable when considering similar scenarios in mangas
this is one of those where him being an otaku isn't the be all end all of his personality, which usually would lead to very warped logic and bad writing, he's battling an inferiority complex which could lead to interesting development, i'm glad the author didn't just slap "i only like 2d see you...
@Roadrunner9000 you make a point, but i'll just sum what you said to "author can't be bothered to be careful when to apply game logic and when not to" and just wings it when the MCs need their plot armor, and discard it when there is a way of making a joke, also on a side note have you ever had...

i'm still not sold on the father portrayed as a good guy, i mean he just basically got cursed by god to feel incredible guilt and he's just trying to satisfy himself at this point, i guess it's cool for the girl since she's not gonna have to deal with him again but i don't think he deserve any...
