The producers who did Ushio and Tora are returning to give this series a proper 36 episode anime adaptation as well. I'll have fun reading the manga until then.

I just finished watching the anime and I have to say, this is a pretty underrated shonen. The plot was amazing, cast relatively knit together and not a shit ton of side characters to flood the story, and all in all it was an enjoyable watch. Highly recommend the series.

@papamiosuckmahdicko I doubt it was axed tbh. It's more likely that Sept was planned to be a short spin-off in general, that ties into the mystery and current events of the the main story. That way the author didn't have to dedicate a small flashback or mini arc for Hyoka into the main story...
