Overlord

bit sad that anime is ahead of manga, but still worth the read even if you have seen anime already.

@masterm1nd

Yea, the manga is definitely still worth the read. It gives off a little more depth that the anime doesn't have, and the pacing is rather nice as well alongside the artwork. I think recently though, the manga has felt slower because of all the focus on Climb and Sebas's adventure throughout the kingdom. Plus we aren't in the real meat of this current arc yet sadly.

I hope the manga continues it's run as usual though, because it's really enjoyable. By the time the manga catches up to Season 3 of the anime though, we'll be far ahead unless Season 4 happen afterwards.

@Ihcky As far as the anime goes, the manga is currently at around Episode 6/7 of Season 2. The arc it's currently in is titled "The Men in The Kingdom", and probably won't reach the next main arc for awhile since the manga is monthly and takes awhile to progress. The anime is currently in Season 3, Episode 5 as of this week though.

Is it me or are the characters/story getting less and less likeable as the story progresses? Honestly, this seemed decent in the beginning, but it's another OP wet dream with little story.

That last part..
The ln/wn goes a bit more in detail about the last part, but the flag on the floor is the flag of Momonga, MC's real name. Since Albedo's setting is to love Momonga combined with her extreme personality, she distastes the name Ainz Ool Gown that mc decided to name himself with. In case anyone was curious or didn't know

@xts Um, actually,
the flag crumpled on the floor is the Ainz Ool Gown flag while the one she looks at afterward is Momonga's.
Though it's never explicitly told that she's is looking at Momonga's flag. Heck, when I first read it, I interpreted it as her looking at her creator's flag. The anime has confirmed she was looking at Momonga's flag though.

Excerpt from the light novel:
--------------------------------------------------------
The reason she did not let any maids in the room was to make sure she could monopolize her Ainz dolls and that nobody could touch them. But there was another reason as well.

That was a flag with the emblem of “Ainz Ooal Gown” embroidered on it. The flag which should have been visible as soon as someone entered the room, laid crumpled in a corner of the floor.
There was no sign of admiration or respect towards it, only hatred and hostility.

“Ainz Ooal Gown… How boring.”

In place of the flag of Ainz Ooal Gown, Albedo had raised a different gigantic flag instead. A flag so large, it resembled an opera curtain.
“This, Great Tomb of Nazarick is only yours. I, Albedo wish to only serve you. Ah… One day, I want to hear your great name once again…”

edit : when trying to fit quotes in a spoiler or a spoiler within a spoiler... only for it to not work at all.

So there is a WN and LN for this series. Anyone who can tell me what's the difference, and recommend which to read?
