@Wolvenworks I don't know for sure, but perhaps they're rushing through the parts that were covered in the previous adaptation? I'm personally hoping that it's the case, because like you said, the pacing is a bit rushed compared to the previous version.

While I'm not exactly a fan of the Reiji so far, I don't think he's going to be malicious or anything... I legit think he just really wants Ruu-chan to like him, and don't think he'll make a move towards Higurashi (aside from stuff like he's done already).

The ending was definitely rushed, but I'm still satisfied. I read this series to see how their relationship would turn out, and I think this ending did a good enough job of that. I'm looking forward to Mizuguchi Naoki's next work, and hope that it will be even better than this was.

YES! YES! YES! I am very happy with this development! Prez is best girl! I also like that while Iruma supported her and reminded her of who she is, he didn't rescue or save her. She pushed through it with her own willpower, and wasn't just a damsel to be saved.

I like a lot of authors that frequently put out oneshots, but I have no way to get notified or updated when a new work by a specific author or artist is released. It might be nice to follow a specific name and see them in my follows list.

Banchou's expression of disbelief is my favorite thing about this chapter.

@Nirimetus That's an interesting point. I know that I personally wouldn't be opposed to something like that as a reader. I mostly use Magadex for the convenience of tracking my followed series.

@bitfarb I agree that it's familiar. The artstyle of this series is really similar to Funatsu Kazuki, the mangaka of Addicted to Curry and Youkai Shoujo - Monsuga. This series is by Debata Yuudai, though, so it's definitely not the same person.

Apparently the never-finished PSP game that, after getting cancelled, went on to become the novels this is manga based on is being made for the Nintendo Switch now, and that's pretty neat.

@Dogoid Rip Van Winkle. The story is actually set in Colonial America, but it's about a Dutch-American, so you're not that far off.

I love this author's one-shots. I hope that someone translates this someday.
