I'm still not a big fan of Reiji's personality, this last chapter did make me appreciate him as a character more. They way he's going about it is pretty bad, but he just wants to check in on and support his brother. It's pretty apparent how as much as Issei envies his brother's outgoing and friendly personality, so does Reiji envy how thoughtful Issei can be. Both are really awkward, but they still love each other as brothers.

Also, I appreciate how Reiji see's Higurashi as someone who can look after his brother. I genuinely don't see him really pursuing her, just flirting a little bit to tease Issei.

Here's a big thank you to @sleepyfoxscanlations. This has quickly become one of my favorite romance manga, and I appreciate the quality and speed of your releases.

The involvement of big brother has become very annoying. But what annoys me equally is that Higurashi tries to get Fukami-kun to act more like his brother. Piss off Higurashi, just go date big brother if you think he's so much better that Fukami-kun should become like him.

@FredFriendly Where is that coming from? She never liked the brother that much nor said that Fukami becoming like him would be better. She said "try imitating" not "try to imitate" you know. Maybe she just wanted Fukami to learn a thing or two of his good points, or maybe she thought that by trying imitating him, Fukami could understand his brother more and their relationship could be better.

@dotawolfbrother Indeed, manga really could use more cats. It's actually surprising that there aren't more, considering the level of fascination for them found on the internet worldwide, plus the fact that Japanese folks have historically been rather fond of them. I wonder if it's just the difficulty of drawing animals or something.

@MavB_Ver I'm pretty sure she mostly wants to see Fukami-kun smile more, because she thinks knows it's cute (edit: maybe that's just my fluff-oriented brain coloring my POV though). (Edit: to be clear, this is speculation and I don't know FredFriendly aside from the posts he's made on this series) As for FredFriendly, I get the feeling that something along these lines may have happened to him in real life. He seems way too sensitive about the topic for the roots of his anger to lie in fiction. And with this much vitriol, I doubt he's the type to read NTR manga. I just hope someone or something can heal his wounds someday.

I really, really don't like the brother. Like, I understand what his character is supposed to be doing but at the same time he knows his effect on people, and goes out of his way to make everything worse.

Edit: Honestly, if all you’re going to do is complain about the manga, do it somewhere else. People’s feelings are complicated, there’s no way someone can make up with a family member easily after 8+ years of being on bad terms. Things aren’t that simple.

@FredFriendly Apologies that you found that offensive; your reactions just seem rather extreme to me and I thought that might be the case. However, I believe it was rather clear that it was my speculation and not an established fact. As for ascertaining truth: for one, I did not state it to be a truth or fact, for two, this is common not only to teenagers, but to all of humanity, no matter what age they are. I'll edit the initial post to make it even more excessively clear that I don't know you personally and that it's speculation. To be clear, I didn't mean it as an attack, but can see how it could be perceived as one. For that I apologize once more. Your comments regarding Reiji are so angry that I had this thought to myself, and in the spur of the moment, I ended up typing it out. You're correct in that I probably should've kept it to myself. But now that I've put it out there, I'm not going to censor myself.

Still not convinced that the big brother is anything but an annoying plot device. I would rather have some other obstacle emerge to enable character growth than an annoying person whose only meaning in life is flirting (and nonconsensual hugging) with women and underage girls(yikes!)

I love how all these cute romance manga are ruined by the introduction of some shitty ntr cuck character. Rlly ruins the flow of the manga. Oh well... another one dropped
