...Is this manga going anywhere?

So far I like this one. It starts out a bit rough but gets better. I like the emphasis on the band and the people around them.

I'm still friends with some of my grade school friends, but once you get older and settled into your career or family or what have you, these kinds of ties become more tenuous. It takes a lot of effort to keep up. Technology is good, but so is face time. Saike & stilgar got it.

All trope, no story. Even as a gag comic, it's pretty stale.

@noguza I think it's interesting that Tetsu doesn't examine Koto's motivations immediately and just goes introspective. I'm really hoping this series actually develops the characters or moves the plot along less awkwardly...

@ZeeTee a little harsh there, but I understand your frustration. After last chapter being snappy and doing away with usual tropes, now we're back to romcom hijinx. I'm taking a wait and see attitude.

I enjoyed the art direction, even if the actual drawings were inconsistent. It highlighted the warmth between the main characters. I felt the story itself was more believeable and gentle than the typical BL story. I wish that the supporting characters were used more effectively as I appreciate...

@uragaaru that seems plausible, given that this whole chapter was centered around a novel.

I loved the art style. The pacing felt like a movie. It's worth a read, especially if you want a change of oace from the usual BL.

I'm tempted to pick this up. Being an Old Person, I find it really relatable. It's not as funny as it used to be but I'm attached to it.

I'm glad that a recipe was included! I'll have to try it.

I feel like it's too early to rate it. We're still getting to know the characters and their relation to each other. While it does seem to be pretty bog-standard tropes, it feels like it has potential to go somewhere interesting.

I also think Shingo and short hair understand the expectation of male/female romantic relationship (even if they have differing opinions), in contrast to Touma, who doesn't seem to understand that dynamic. Or willfully ignorant? I'm pretty sure Touma is gay, but I get the impression he doesn't...

It's been licensed by Seven Seas and should be out May 2019. Volume 4 (in Japan) is out now.
