Ughh. And I was really looking forward to Masaki getting to meet support group in person... (because I sure as hell don't have one irl aha ha ha)

Also I totally get the "I will not live past 20" thing - I also instinctively "knew" that "fact" ever since my early teens (uh, but not because of reasons pertaining to one's intellect, but rather because of just the sheer misery of living). It's nice to see that someone, even a fictional character, feels this way.

Given how literary the manga (and the characters) are, I almost wonder if it's meant to be a reference to Yukio Mishima's Sea of Tranquility tetralogy of novels where the beautiful soul of one of the main characters dies at 20 (it gets much more cynical over each book but that's neither here nor there). Granted it's a common enough literary device/idea (the doomed youth) that I may be looking too much into it.

Either way, this manga is pretty good and I'm enjoying the heightened drama.
