It's an absolute travesty this was canceled, it should have gone on for much longer, but this was a perfect ending. Onio, if you ever see this, I hope you won't give up! Your books are great.
This is honestly the best romance book I've read here. The writing and the characters are so original for this genre, and the story never felt like it was stalling or running out of steam. Loved the whole thing.
Also thanks again to @Satansslut669 for a great job. Your translations to make the...
Anyway, regardless of how I feel about the ending, thanks to @Satansslut669 for the translation. Your interpretation of things really made this a fun read. Thank you for working so hard on this by yourself.
I can't believe anyone thought Umi was trying to help the MCs. He broke up with his girlfriend to try get with Chizuru, of course he's trying to fuck with her since he knows she likes Kazuya, whether she'll admit it to herself or not.
To anyone complaining Anjou is ruining Seto's confidence and keeping them apart:
It's the exact opposite. It has been ABUNDANTLY clear for many chapters that she digs him, probably all the way back to when he defended her to his classmates. She is trying to force him to develop his own...
Everyone complaining the ending was too sudden, the author did you a favor letting you keep pretending they'd work out by stopping it here. How many famous actors do you know married to normal people?
I started watching the anime for this and found it kind of shocking how much they leaned into the drama for it since it had been so long since I started reading the manga and forgot it initially was story-driven instead of turning into 80 slice-of-life chapters focusing on side characters that...
It's an absolute tragedy this was canceled. The art is great, the writing laugh-out-loud funny and sweet, and the characters are fantastic. This is a slice of life that deserved a 100+ chapter life. I hope Onio doesn't give up.
Short and cute. The characters are believable while quirky enough to not fall completely into standard genre archetypes. Reminds me of Tsuki ga Kirei but more light-hearted. If you liked that and just need a fluffy palate cleanser, this will do.
After reading this and I Am a Hero, it's clear the author's MCs are self-inserts and the author hates himself, which is why his endings are terrible. An editor should have told him by now self-loathing isn't a replacement for a personality.
