Oh: in one of the first chapters a bell pepper is labeled "paprika". That's a faulty translation; in English, the word "paprika" is only used for the spice, not the fruit/vegetable. (The spice is made from ground dried peppers, but not exclusively bell peppers.)

Honestly, I think the author missed a chance to strengthen this manga's main joke a lot by not making the MC get buffer when they have the power surge in chapter 7. Like Machio in Danberu Nan Kiro Moteru.

So, the character on the cover of volume 3 (the thumbnail right now) has a neck thicker than his head. Is that a character we haven't encountered yet? (No visible scar across the face, but that doesn't *necessarily* mean anything.) Do the people running the thing give the participants steroids...

Either there's a lot lost in translation here or this is a very boring and pointless manga.

Ugh... I had forgotten how bad some of the translation is. Seriously, folks, you should NOT be leaving really trivial words like "hai" ("yes") and "iie" ("no") in Japanese, and cut out "desu" entirely... and for crying out loud, if you're already going to use "mercenary" for "boukensha" in some...

@emmJH: a dullahan. (Celty was a name of a specific character, dullahan is the… type? Species?) A headless rider, although the king here doesn't seem to have a horse.

Concept: the editors who greenlit a bunch of isekai series where gods kill people by mistake die. They open their eyes to find themselves surrounded by angry gods bearing weapons. One of the gods steps forward and says "we understand you think we're careless…"

Wow, chapter 38 is actually a coherent story where there's nobody who is evil just for the sake of being evil, all the bad actions have motives and nobody does anything utterly insane. I'm impressed!

Yep, this is how it would play out. And many people would be perfectly happy to go on believing after the bait-and-switch. Go look up "The Great Disappointment" to see how this played out in the past.
