I love how the art is so funky you sometimes can't tell if the white bubbles are empty speech balloons or just background elements, like on pages 26 and 27.
Weird but cool manga. Shame the author died, seemed like he had talent. Thanks for translating an oddity like this, nice break from the...
That, or she had her memories erased and false ones implanted. She knew too much, saw something she shouldn't have in a back alley or something. Would fit right in with the dystopia setting.
This is the greatest translation I've ever seen, maybe even the greatest of all time. There should be more translations of mediocre comedy/romance manga like this. Arry-gatto translator-sama
I know CGDCT manga often contain lots of information about their particular niche, but combined with the TL notes at the end, this really feels educational for using Japan's railway transportation.
Why does everyone in Japan have repressed memories of drowning as a child? Or total amnesia of whoever they hung out with in elementary school before moving? Seems like a pretty concerning trend.

I kind of want to start a collection of "non-Western media using Latin text without realizing that it says something super depressing and out of place because they didn't just go with lorem ipsum" images.
Small nitpick, but I feel like having him say "you fool!" is way too serious for such a laid-back guy. "Idiot!" or even "Dumbass!" would work better for such a, well, dumbass of a dude. I assume this is translating "Baka!", yes? Unless it turns out that he's actually an arrogant kung-fu master...

What's funny is that you can see in the original pre-serialized version that it says Wild Card like normal, so this was a conscious choice. Meaning you're probably right and that the implication is that there is a show called Wild Gard and that it isn't a typo.
This lighthearted edginess , it's pure Kodama Naoko.
Also, I don't think I've ever heard the term "jill off" before, being used to refer to female masturbation as a pun on "jack off" for male masturbation, thus "Jack and Jill", but it's hilarious.
