Do you have any pointers on learning to translate Manga Stories?

i always tell non-native speakers trying to learn japanese to pick their favorite manga, find an english translation for it (whether fan or official), then find the japanese raws for it, and try to learn from the way the translators translated from the japanese to the english. I think it's helpful learning how other people choose to word things.
