It doesn't seem so, but it's implied he could have stopped a suicide, making society view him as a murderer. Apparently a gangrape happened and he walked in on it, just stood by and watched it happen while smiling (this is enforced when the main villain girl tried to re-enact the event, even though she failed, and seems to be experiencing the same issues the MC went through). The full details as to why this event happened are not known yet. All that's known is that the girl was bullied bad and committed suicide after. Because some students knew he was there and didn't do anything, they blamed him for her death. Clearly something beyond all that happened to completely destroy him, mentally, and operates though life at ultimate bare minimum job requirements.

honestly it was good until the first scanlation group was translating it but maybe they dropped it because they sensed the series going downhill, the first half the manga was brilliant for me but idk what happened since the new scanlation group took over it feels like the story is really convoluted and translations seem off
If i had to rate the first half a solid 8.5 only docking points because some parts were making me physically cringe
but the second half is a shit show and worth only 5 points, that too because Jimi is such a chad and I like his no fucks given attitude more than the actual plot of the manga
so in total it's probably a 6 for me and looks like it's only going to drop further at this rate unless we see some good plotlines
The school stuff was pretty entertaining but I didn't foresee this literally becoming a crime syndicate manga but I guess that's interesting in it's own sense if carried out properly
