Man, these past few chapters illustrate why making your villains sympathetic is really difficult. It's like, sure, they're a band of unlikely pals, and lost their precious comrade, and have their trauma, and that's cute and all. But they're also psychotic killers who stab old ladies "just to" get close to heroes for not even something immediately related to their goals.
The fact that they're so overtly doing bad shit for the sake of some poorly defined anarchy goal without caring for collateral damage really does a disservice to their characterization as ostensibly likable people who just happened to take a wrong turn somewhere.

@brainman Unfortunately, that's kind of the point. Toga is the true definition of evil: chaotic, selfish, hypocritical, and self-centred. You can pity her, but you can't sympathize with her, except with losing a person she cares for, but that ends as soon as you consider she'd done the same to several other people before she joined the League.
