@Frostwjr It's just a weird martial arts trope you see sometimes. With enough training, these people can avoid mortal wounds by shifting an organ just out of the way. It's probably become more common to have supernatural monsters and aliens and stuff do it, but the idea probably originated with it being used on high level martial artists.
