@chosenone124 I believe it's a Haki thing. Before Punk Hazard, Law was not proficient enough to cut Vergo, because of his strong Haki and it was kind of a way of showing that Law became more proficient with his ability and/or that he was able to overpower Vergo's Haki with his own. Here it seems like Law is still not strong enough to overpower Kaido's Haki. It always appeared to me as if Kaido had kind of a natural Haki defense or that his proficiency with Haki is high enough that he doesn't even have to manually activate it to defend from attacks. Haki seems to have special interactions with devil fruit abilities, like it also makes it possible to hit Logia users and that kind of interaction seems to work against Law devil fruit ability as well.
