So she died in 1860-80 and reincarnated in the 21st century.
Weren't there any other reincarnated ayakishi mediums during that time

@NinjaGoemon You forget that the problem with childhood friends also remains here, lol. It's another matter if it was yuri bait all-female, then he could at least count on the OTP from audience.

welp, this means the yuri route got delayed a bit, and I'm happy about that

@NinjaGoemon: Matsuri just cannot conceive of dating Suzu as he is now, even after his grandpa and Soga encouraged him to. What’s it gonna take to get through to him?

I had a slight frown the entire chapter, but then I laughed out loud when Matsuri said exactly what I was thinking, even more frankly.

sucks to be you Matsuri. The osananajimi almost always never wins. It's so rare I can't think of any winners of the top of my head

Edit: Oh wait there is one. Ed and Winry from FMA, but its not the usual childhood friend trope. They developed feelings for each other much later, and there wasnt any real competition

Well, there is always an option people might forget, that is getting along with Garaku and became his 2nd wife. Yes? But quite a terrible thing to do tho, when Soga likes Matsuri. Maybe a secret(not needed) yuri relationship between 2 housewives? But seriously, right from the start this manga planned to either have Matsuri turned back or we go for a yuri end. It is hard to see a possibility that Soga win, sad. Garaku tho, he lives a long life so I guess next life will be alright.

Is anyone actually invested in the romantic drama in this story?

MC and heroine are clearly gonna wind up together. In other manga, I'd get worried or be surprised by the drama. In this one I'm yawning wishing they'd go back to the action because it's clear that none of it matters since the heroine and transgender like each other.

Silly Matsuri thinking Reincarnation couple always work. It only work in chinese manga, and you have the power of yuri on your side, IN YURI CHILDHOOD FRIEND USUALLY WIN.

I swear to god, this is a big touhou reference, the manga (somehow fused hieda miare child with hakurei and yuyuko in one person)

@Azarel-Sama Firstly, not always, and secondly, this is not a yuri manga. And in shonen romcom lesbian childhood of friend female lead always exists only for fanservice lol.
