thank you for the great chapter, I wonder who was the "he" Teddy mentioned they were waiting for before Rin brought up Jurota also since it seems like Hayami is adapting as the fight progresses and will likely be able to toss Jurota at least once even if he loses if Hayami wins this would this put him on the same level as Kuroki? Perhaps the earbuds served as some form of limiter and without them Hayami is going through his version of the "evolution" technique, though I keep hoping they will explain before the match is over Jurota's issue with "Boy M".

Either him not seeing it is explained more as him not grasping it (which would be an unnecessary deception) since he vastly changed the throwing motion, apparently, or he throws a body so damn fast it probably compares to that Sasuke guy. But then...that should get more attention, no?
I do think that the gimmick is quite cool, very fitting for a manga like this, but the context sours it a bit.

The Gentle King better have a hidden face, not necessarily crazy, but definitely more savage to also justify that Kuroki praise he got, otherwise this is all just fake hype.

Author pulled out Teddy because the fighters are currently Judokas and Teddy has been the world's strongest Judoka for the past 10 years at least and every Japanese know him, because they are very vexed by the fact they don't completely dominate a sport they more or less invented.

So, author uses him to heap praise on Jurota and suggest that if Jurota was of the same generation, Teddy wouldn't be so cocky.

Race has literally nothing to do here. Just the usual Japanese chauvinism.
