Just continue after ch 16 and talk to the other group if the other group can updste regularly.
I mean, they're not in the wrong, there hasn't been any update in 3 months, readers wanna read and if they picked it up and update constantly, isn't it better than waiting for long spans of time for an update?

I get where your coming from but this group was the reason ME disbanded and also they release one chapter or maybe a couple and then nothing for months! They do it all the time, check out some of the projects they work on which haven't been updated in months because they like to steal and even from newbie groups, I'm sorry to be mean but it gets really frustrating especially when a group had worked on something from the beginning!

Well, I actually have read a lot of manhuas with multiple scan groups working at the same time and read different translations for the same chapters, if they appear and dissapear after a mass release, it doesn't mean you can't post your own work, it doesn't mean no one is going to read it.
There's probably people waiting for you guys reuniting again and picking series up, I get that it's discouraging and annoying work in a chapter and then suddenly someone else post it first, but maybe there are some readers waiting for your translation!
P.S. I looked up for all the series released by Moon Eclipse and I really didn't find one were you can say that Midnight Mess Scan did something for you to say that they were the reason why you guys disbanded, I went to look up at both profiles and maybe MMS loves to overwork themselves for so many series, but I didn't find other except for these one related to ME, and this happened over 3 months.

It seems like Midnight Mess Scans specialise in abandoned projects. After 3 months with no update, and 2 months after you guys disbanded, I can see why they'd take it on.
Also I agree with @LivinginQuarantine, I tend to be loyal to one group's translations even if they're uploaded simultaneously with another group's.

I really don't want any of you to kill yourselves trying to release these series for us for free but at the rate most of these webtoon scanlation groups release, it will literally take you guys years to finish. And you all just keep picking up more projects. And you unnecessarily clean sfx 
. My gosh, just leave the artwork alone and translate the sfx below each panel. There's maybe 12-24 speech bubbles a chapter and I know you spend hours to weeks finishing each chapter.
What I'm saying is focus on 1-2 projects you love and I'm sure there would be less sniping accusations and more satisfaction because you'd finish quicker.
