That beginning was like a jump scare I was seriously thinking "woah wtf we really gonna start like this" but it ended up being cute at the end

I think this dialogue makes more sense to me.

For the comparison the old one was like:
B: So, are we going out?
G: Well, why not? (Basically yes, sure)
B: Do you wanna start dating?
G: Yes.
That was like repeating the same thing.

Meanwhile, the new one here:
B: So, shall we go out?
G: Don't so me. (Not answering)
B: Shall we go out, then?
G: Sure.
The conversation is flowing, thus much better.
