Manbagi's "makeup" is more like a primitive warrior's war paint. The sort they put on before they come to kill europeans and take their scalps.
That said, if she had better fashion sense, she would be able to make similar "makeup" that actually looks good on her. Maybe it's just my preference, but some anime girls in war paint look quite good.

Love triangles are so dumb, I hate when they do it. More than romance the focus in this manga is friendship, and how precious and important they can be. I hope the closure for this triangle is that, no matter what happens, they all realize how important their relationship is.
