Anyway, I see lots of people getting upset at her character, but i think it's fine. Not everyone has to be likable right from the start. Not everyone has to be super useful. And a girl that gets scared in near-death experiences and relies on a man to protect her is a lot fucking closer to reality than most stuff you'll see in these isekais.
What's important isn't the content of Marl's character, but instead whether she's a fleshed-out, believable character that develops over time, or whether she remains (as all characters are at the start) two dimensional.
