It's even slightly worse than that. As I've picked up from reading BL, there seems to be some deranged notion floating around Japan that you're still a virgin unless you do the "attacking".

This idea always struck me as just about borderline psychotic personally, or at least revoltingly demeaning and insulting towards one of the two parties' equal participation in the process... but it is what it is.

Not sure if translation issue in what "virgin" means, weird leftovers from ye olde Japan's hierarchical gay pederasty culture, or what.
